The idea

In 2010 we had the idea that we should think of a way to stirr up more local activity within our wonderful community of friends. We have so many great professionals and students among our friends just dying to share their knowledge, ask questions and discuss the topics that make our society so interesting to be a part of. Up until then, this almost didn't happen.

That's why we decided to support local initiatives and endorse the start of local chapters. These chapters work under our flag but are organized and run locally.

Chapters work with the following conditions:

The conditions

• Chapters have an offical chapter board that structures the organization
  
• Chapters intend to either occasionally or frequently organize events (cocktails, discussion events, seminars, workshops, etc.) that facilitate discussion in line with the motto of the International Design & Emotion Society.
  
• Chapters can and must use our offical logo and colors to promote their local initiative.
  
• Chapters are obliged to regularly report activity or summarize events to the international board.
  
• This will also include either an excerpt or full report on our international and main website.
  
• Chapters however are entitled to run their own website, with the obligation to have updates placed on their page in our international website.
  
• We endorse several local initiatives in the same country, however, if chapters are very close to each other we urge co-operation and a merger.
  
• Chapters commit to have fun in their activities and show love to their local friends, as we do from the Mother Ship :-)
